I am Fatema — born in Madagascar, raised in Paris, and shaped by 20 years living in Sri Lanka. Fashion has always been a natural passion of mine, especially bags. For over a decade, I have been sourcing raffia bags from Malagasy brands, building meaningful relationships and developing a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.

BATIKA was born during a sleepless night, when the many influences of my life came together and the idea for the brand began to take shape.

BATIKA is a French-inspired bag brand that brings together natural raphia from Madagascar with vibrant batik fabrics from Sri Lanka, guided by a Parisian sense of style. Each piece reflects a dialogue between cultures, craftsmanship, and contemporary design.
